Annual General Meeting of the VR Tourist Guide Division
The 2026 Annual General Meeting of the VR Tourist Guide Division will be held on Wednesday, 21 October at 19:00 in the VR meeting room on the 9th floor of Hús verslunarinnar. The meeting will also be available on Teams. Light refreshments will be served for those attending in person. Please register for the meeting by 12:00 noon on the day of the meeting – see here.
All voting at the meeting will be electronic and meeting documents will also be provided electronically. It is important that everyone attending the meeting brings appropriate equipment (a computer or smart device) in order to participate in voting and review the meeting documents and candidacies. A link to the online meeting will be sent out on the day of the meeting.

Candidacies for Chairperson and Board
At the meeting, elections will be held for two seats on the Board and for the position of Chairperson. Candidacies must be submitted by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, 14 October, to guide@vr.is. Full members of the division are eligible for election in accordance with Article 3 of the division’s Rules of Procedure.
The names of candidates will be announced on the Tourist Guide Division’s page on the VR website, vr.is, after the deadline for candidacies has passed. Candidates will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and present their priorities at the meeting before voting takes place.
Amendments to the Rules of Procedure
The agenda for the meeting includes proposals for amendments to the division’s Rules of Procedure. Proposals for amendments to the Rules of Procedure must be submitted to the division’s Board seven days before the Annual General Meeting or no later than 12:00 on Wednesday, 14 October to guide@vr.is.
