ASÍ Congress Commences

The 46th Congress of the The Icelandic Confederation of Labour (ASÍ) began this morning with an address by Finnbjörn A. Hermannsson, the President of the Confederation. The first day of the congress is open to the public, and many important issues affecting the interests of wage earners are being discussed. Watch the livestream on ASÍ's website here

The Commercial Federation of Iceland (LÍV) is represented by around 100 delegates at the congress, of which approximately 90 are from VR.

The Congress is being held at the Hilton Nordica Hotel and will conclude on Friday afternoon.
