Do you want to make an impact? Join the VR Youth Council

VR is seeking young people to join the union’s Youth Council, with elections to be held in May. Six VR members aged 18 to 35 sit on the Youth Council. The VR Board appoints three, and young VR members elect three others. We are now calling for candidates, and the application deadline is noon on April 28.

The role of the VR Youth Council is to ensure that the interests of younger people within the union are always on the agenda and to give young VR members the opportunity to have an impact. Representatives on the Youth Council hold seats on the Consultative Council of VR, they are given the opportunity to attend the congresses of ASÍ and LÍV, and they act in an advisory capacity to the VR Board. Meetings of the Youth Council are paid.
