Ræktum vitið 2026 – Join in!

Now it’s time to grow our knowledge – and we want you to take part!

Ræktum vitið is a joint initiative by VR, LÍV and SVÞ that encourages employees and workplaces to invest in continuing education and lifelong learning.

October will be a special campaign month, during which you can register yourself and your workplace to take part. You simply record what you did to build your knowledge – every step in continuing education counts.

What can you register?

Continuing education does not have to be time-consuming or complicated. Anything that increases your knowledge, skills or competence at work can count, whether it takes a few minutes or several hours.

For example, you can register:

Courses, lectures and workshops
Reading articles and educational material
Podcasts and videos
Icelandic lessons and language training
Training in new technology or work tools
Knowledge you share with colleagues

Do your part, collect points together with your colleagues and help your workplace climb the leaderboard.

Recognition will be awarded to companies in three size categories.
