Remember your wages should increase in next month‘s wage payment

According to VR´s collective agreements, wage increases took effect from April 1st. For those who are paid according to the VR pay scales the increase is 24.000 ISK pr. month while general wages shall increase by 18.000 ISK. Note that this increase applies to wages from the month of April. Most VR members should therefore receive the wage increase on May 1st. Please note that those who receive unemployment benefits from the Directorate of Labour alongside reduced employment ratio due to temporary company recessions, receive an increase on wages paid by the employer.
