Voting started for the VR Seniors’ Council
The election of three representatives in the VR Seniors’ Council takes place from 12:00 noon Monday 31 March to 12:00 noon Thursday 3 April 2025. According to the council's rules of procedure 6 members sit on the council, the Board of VR appoints three, while members aged 65 and older elect three.
The deadline for candidacies expired on 20 March and 11 candidates applied. All VR members 65 years and older can participate in the election. Access to an electronic ballot has been sent via email to those members eligible to vote who have registered their email address with VR. Members who do not receive an email but believe they have the right to vote, are advised to send a message to oldungarad@vr.is.
