VR builds rental apartments for members

VR and Icelandic building company ÍAV have signed a cooperation agreement for the development and construction of rental apartments on VR's construction site in Úlfarsárdalur. A total of 36 apartments will be built in two apartment buildings for rent by VR members.

The aim is for construction to begin in the spring. Roughly twenty apartments will be delivered in the summer of 2024 and the remainder no later than the summer of 2025.
The same arrangement will be used as used by Bjarg with good results in the development of rental properties. When designing, emphasis is placed on using cost-effective measures during construction to reduce construction costs.
