VR Campsite Opens 

The VR campsite at Miðhúsaskógur opens on June 6. VR members can book a spot through the VR Vacation Website. To access the site, go to the "Availability" tab and under the drop-down menu "Select region or area," choose "Miðhúsaskógur Campsite." 

The price per night with electricity for each site is ISK 4,000. 

The age limit for booking a campsite is 20 years, based on the year in which the VR member turns 21. 

The campsite is intended only for VR members and their families, but VR members may invite guest(s) to stay with them at the campsite, though never more than would fit at one campsite. Pets are allowed at the campsite. The maximum stay at the campsite is ten days. 

VR members may rent camper trailers, folding campers, caravans, or motorhomes from approved rental providers and receive a subsidy from VR upon presenting a receipt. The subsidy is ISK 5,000 per night, up to a maximum of ISK 30,000 per vacation period. Payment is made after the stay, following full payment for the vehicle. The rental period must be stated on the receipt.
