VR Supports Teachers' Wage Struggle

The Board of VR expresses concern over the current state of the wage dispute between teachers and their counterparts, as well as its impact on children and families. Wage disputes in the labor market inevitably affect employees, and the Board urges the parties to reach an acceptable solution as quickly as possible.

That being said, the Board of VR fully supports teachers in their fight for improved terms. Teachers, like all other employees in the Icelandic labor market, have the unquestionable right to demand better wages and conditions in the manner they see fit.
