VR encourages all members to participate in the rally and outdoor meetings on International Workers´ Day on May 1st. 

VR Family Run at Klambratún 
In Reykjavik, we will start the day with a light jog and festivities for the whole family at Klambratún, hosted by singer and entertainer Jónsi, at 11:30 AM.

Sylvía from Bestu lög barnanna and Spartacus from Lazy Town will warm us up for the Family Run, a 1.5 km route around Klambratún. Participation is free and all participants receive a medal. 

VÆB band and ANÍTA from the Eurovision Song Contest will perform and the Icelandic circus will also stop by. We will offer hot dogs, Bulsur (vegan „hot dogs”), soda and juice. 

Everyone is welcome! 

VR´s Labour Day coffee and rally in Reykjavík  
In Reykjavik, we will gather at Klambratún at 1:00 PM to march with Jónsi and the Workers' Marching Band towards Skólavörðuholt where we will join other unions for the march which starts at 1:30 PM. The march takes us to Ingólfstorg, where the rally will be held. 

At 2:30 PM, VR invites all members to the union´s annual Labour Day coffee in the lobby of Laugardalshöll.
