Allocation of VR Holiday Houses in Winter
Applications have opened for holiday homes for winter 2026–2027 and will remain open until 15 March. It does not matter when during the application period members apply—everyone has the same chance of being drawn. Members who are allocated a holiday home have until 22 March to complete payment through My Pages.
Holiday homes will be allocated for the following periods:
- Autumn and winter school holidays (21 October–28 October 2026 and 17–24 February 2027
- Christmas 2026
- New Year 2026–2027
- Easter 2027
- Ski season in Akureyri from 1 February to 1 April 2027 (holiday homes at Hálönd and Skipagata)
All full members can apply to be allocated a holiday home during these periods, and it does not matter whether they have rented a holiday home in previous winters or not. Please note that the maximum number of nights in winter is 12 nights.
