45th ASI Congress concluded

The 45th ASÍ Congress concluded today, Friday, April 28, 2023.

Resolutions were adopted on a number if issues: Pensions, Housing and welfare, Economy, wages and taxes, The future of the labour market, Equality and education and Wages, conditions and the labour market. Click here to see congressional documents and resolutions.

A new leadership was elected, Finnbjörn A. Hermannsson was elected president of ASÍ and Ragnar Þór Ingólfsson, chairman of VR, was elected 1st vice president. Hjördís Þóra Sigurþórsdóttir, chairman of AFL's professional association, was elected second vice-president, and Kristján Þórður Snæbjarnarson, chairman of the Icelandic Electrical Industry Association, was elected third vice-president.
