Adventure in the Christmas Forest with Improved Accessibility

Accessible Performances

VR, in collaboration with Umhyggja and the CP Association, is hosting Adventure in the Christmas Forest performances with improved accessibility. Audiences will travel in small groups with flashlights through Elliðaárdalur, meeting characters from Iceland’s Christmas family along the way. The show is presented by jolasveinar.is.

Tickets will be sold at a discounted rate of only 500 ISK. Ticket sales begin in early November, with a maximum of six tickets available per VR member. Please note that ticket availability is limited. Two accessible performances will take place on December 11th, the first starting at 18:20 and the second at 18:30.

The walk takes just under an hour, and at the end, guests can take photos with a Yule Lad, enjoy hot cocoa, and gingerbread cookies.

The show is designed for children aged four and up, though everyone is welcome. Admission is free for children aged two and under. Guests are also asked not to bring dogs to avoid disruptions to the performance or other attendees.

This performance is suitable for all needing improved accessibility, whether children or adults. Guests are encouraged to dress according to the weather and bring a flashlight.

The meeting point is at the Power Station in Elliðaárdalur/Elliðaár Station - Rafstöðvarvegur 6, 110 Reykjavík.
