Booking VR holiday cottages for 2023

We want to remind VR members that in order to book our holiday cottages you must first log into My pages, either with Íslykill or other digital certificates.
VR holiday cottage bookings for the year 2023 and until mid-year 2024 will commence on these dates:

On 9 January, 2023 at 7pm holiday cottage bookings for the summer of 2023 (the period from 2 June to 1 September.)

On 11 January, 2023 at 10am we open for bookings for those VR members who rented holiday homes in the summer of 2020, 2021 or 2022.

On 18 January, 2023 at 10am we open for bookings that cover the period from 1 September 2023 to 31 May 2024.

On our holiday cottage web pages (Icelandic only) you will find information about the VR cottages and rental periods. If you wish to book and pay for a holiday cottage, or other holiday services on offer, you will need to log into My pages. You can log in with Íslykill or other digital certificates. We will also take bookings on the telephone (tel. 510 1700 ) from 7pm to 8pm on Monday, 9 January 2023.

Please note that when you log into VR‘s My pages between 4pm – 11pm on Monday 9. January you will be transferred straight to the holiday cottage web pages and other services will not be provided other than booking. This is to ensure that we do not overload our system while booking. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Also note that VR's holiday homes in Vestmannaeyjar will not be available for rent during the first weekend in August (verslunarmannahelgi). A stay in the holiday homes will be among the prizes in VR's Company of the Year 2023 survey.
