Support Amazon Employees

The Board of LÍV, the Commercial Federation of Iceland, urges its members to boycott Amazon from November 29 to December 2. This action is aimed at sending a clear message to Amazon's owners about the importance of ensuring basic human rights for employees and respecting their fundamental rights to form unions to fight for a better life.

Over 80 organizations, including labor unions, climate campaigners and organizations working against corruption and tax evasion, along with thousands of supporters worldwide, have joined forces to draw attention to Amazon's treatment of its employees. VR is a member of LÍV which is participating in this international campaign now in its fifth year. Trade unions in retail globally demand that Amazon treat its employees with respect. LÍV calls on all of us to boycott Amazon during this largest shopping week of the year and demonstrate the collective power of workers.
