VR invites you to visit Árbæjarsafn

On January 27, 1891, the Reykjavík Union of Commerce, VR, was founded at a meeting in the restaurant Hermes at Lækjargata. The building is now located at Árbæjarsafn. This year, VR celebrates its 130th anniversary.

On that occasion, you are invited to a open house in Árbæjarsafn during the Merchants' Weekend (Verslunarmannahelgin). VR encourages all who are interested, to visit the museum and visit the building where VR's history began.

Please note that the current disease control regulations, e.g. social distancing rule, limits to the number of people at gatherings and the use of masks apply in the museum.
