Elections to the Seniors' Council – Candidate Presentations
Elections for the VR Seniors’ Council will take place from March 31 to April 3. Elections for the council take place every other year. Three representatives will be elected to the council, and all VR members aged 65 and older are eligible to vote. The deadline for submitting candidacies was March 20. A total of 11 individuals submitted their candidacy.

The elections begin at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 31, 2025, and end at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 3, 2025. According to the council’s working rules, it is composed of six members – three are appointed by the VR Board, and three are elected by VR members aged 65 and older. The council should aim for a gender balance among its members.
Access to the electronic ballot will be sent by email to eligible VR members on the same day the elections begin. You can register your email address on “My Pages” on the VR website.
