LÍV and SGS together in collective bargaining negotiations

The largest national associations of workers in the labour market, Landssamband Íslenzkra verzlunarmanna (LÍV) and Starfsgreinasamband Íslands (SGS), decided to join forces in negotiations with Samtök atvinnulífsins (SA) on a new collective wage agreement. The collaboration covers close to 90,000 individuals working in the public labour market within twenty unions.

There is a strong desire within both unions to make a joint decision on a new collective wage agreement, where the focus will be on increasing purchasing power and ensuring economic stability. It is clear that the collaboration between LÍV and SGS will bring more impact to the collective bargaining negotiations.
