VR holiday cottages and the COVID-19 epidemic
Due to the increase in COVID-19 infections, the Office of Epidemiology and the government have asked the public not to travel between different parts of the country for the next three weeks. As VR members are often on the move and book VR holiday cottages at this time of year, we would like to make it clear that each member is responsible for whether or not to go to a booked holiday cottage, but if you choose not to travel and stay in the cottage then VR will of course re-pay the rent.
A decision has been made to not re-rent the holiday cottages that are returned during this period.
If you decide to return a booked VR holiday cottage then send an email to email@example.com and request to cancel. What needs to be stated in the email is the tenant's ID number (kennitala), place and period.
