VR supports charity organizations during the holidays

As we have done in recent years, VR supports the work of various charity organizations during the holidays. This year it was decided to support the National Church's Relief Work by 2,350,000 ISK and the Icelandic Red Cross by 2,100,000 ISK. In addition, the branches of the Icelandic Red Cross in Akranes, East Iceland, South Iceland and the Westman Islands will be supported with ISK 270,000. each and the Suðurnes Welfare Fund about ISK 270,000. VR union furthermore supported Samhjálp in the amount of 900.000 kr. for their Kaffistofa Samhjálpar to provide hot meals during the holiday season.

This financial aid is accompanied by a wish for a happy holiday and prosperity in the coming year to all our members and compatriots, and not least to those who are struggling with difficulties and illness.
