Company of the Year 2022
VR presented the Company of the Year 2022 at a well attended reception yesterday, Thursday 19 May 2022. This year a total of sixteen companies will receive this title and almost another fifty the title Model Company of the Year 2022. The President of VR, Ragnar Þór Ingólfsson and Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Prime Minister of Iceland, presented the awards.
The Companies of the Year 2022 are as follows:
- In the category of companies with fewer than 30 employees:
- Farmers Market
- Íslensk getspá
- M7
- Kringlan Management Company
- Reon
In the category of medium-sized companies with 30 - 69 employees, there are six companies and not five as usual because two companies were equal in fifth place:
- Expectus
- Hringdu
- Íslandsstofa
- Reykjafell
- Tengi
- Toyota in Iceland
In the category of larger companies with 70 or more employees:
- LS Retail
- Miðlun
- Nova
- Opin Kerfi
- Sjóvá
The Company of the Year survey was done among members of VR and other employees of those companies that guaranteed all employees the right to participate, regardless of trade union membership. More than eleven thousand employees answered the survey. Only companies that guaranteed all employees the right to participate were considered in the selection for the title of Company of the Year or Model Company, but these are the companies that are in the top fifteen in the three size categories.
