VR elections 2021

In accordance with article 20. of VR’s laws, our Electoral Board today advertised an election among VR's members for the offices of president and board of VR for the period 2021-2023.

Voting will start at 9 am Monday, March 8, 2021, and ends at 12 noon on Friday, 12 March, 2021. Voting is electronic and the ballot paper will be available on vr.is. It is necessary to register with an Íslykill or electronic ID.

All VR members in good standing have the right to vote in the election. Also on the electoral roll are older VR members who paid membership dues until age 67 and had paid at minimum of 50 months out of 60 in the last five years before reaching the age of 67.

Candidates for election to the office of president of VR are:
Helga Guðrún Jónasdóttir and Ragnar Þór Ingólfsson.

Eleven candidates are running for seven seats on the board and three deputy seats. They are in alphabetical order:
