Election to the Youth Council for the term 2026 – 2028
VR is seeking young people to join the union’s Youth Council, with elections to be held in May. Six VR members aged 18 to 35 sit on the Youth Council. The VR Board appoints three, and young VR members elect three others.
We are now calling for candidates, and the application deadline is noon on April 28.
If you would like to run, send us an email at unglidarad@vr.is before noon on April 28. Please include the following information:
- Name and kennitala
- A photo of yourself for presentation on the website.
- Information about your main priorities and your reasons for running
We will introduce candidates on the VR website and social media during the election period, May 5 – 8.
Please note that only full members may run, and the minimum age is 18.
