The VR camping site closes on 14. September
VR's great camping site at Miðhúsaskógur will close from Monday 14. September, so now is your last chance to enjoy staying there this year.
VR‘s reception closed due to COVID-19
The reception of VR union will be closed from Friday, July 31. This is due to an increase of COVID-19 cases in Iceland and while this is being contained VR will only offer members services remotely. This is done in the interest of members‘ wellbeing.
Keep your rights!
There is a lot to think about when you lose your job and it can be very important to keep paying membership fees to VR to preserve rights, e.g. in the vocational fund and the sick pay fund. To continue payments to VR, a certain box needs to be filled out with VR in the application for unemployment benefits.
Did you just lose your job? Micro-course on our web
VR members now have the opportunity to watch a 90 minute micro-course on our web, a course designed for those who have been laid off by their employer. The course will be available until September 30 on My pages on vr.is and is with English subtitles.
