The success of VR's lunchtime lectures

VR has been offering informative lectures to its members for several years. In recent years, lunchtime lectures have been in a digital format. This format has been well-received as it better accommodates people outside the capital area, facilitates accessibility for everyone, and increases flexibility for the audience since the lectures can be kept open for a longer period, allowing people to watch whenever it suits them.

For the past two years, all lunchtime lectures have also included English subtitles.
There has been a significant increase in participation and viewership with the digital format, and since 2020, approximately 7,900 individuals have utilized the service. However, in the previous year, a total of 2,590 individuals watched the lectures. The most popular topics that year were lectures on finance, followed by lectures on the power of transformations, the role of trans individuals in contemporary society, and shortening the workweek. The selection is diverse, and the lunchtime lectures aim to provide VR's members with good information on current issues and educational lectures that inspire them to do their best and evolve with the times.

The lectures are open for attendance at the advertised time on vr.is/streymi, and they remain accessible to the community on My Pages for at least 30 days afterward.

VR expresses gratitude for the active participation and hopes that members will continue to tune in!
