The Board of VR expresses concern over the current state of the wage dispute between teachers and their counterparts, as well as its impact on children and families. Wage disputes in the labor market inevitably affect employees, and the Board urges the parties to reach an acceptable solution as quickly as possible.

The VR Board has approved a grant of 6 million ISK to Einstök Börn (e. Unique Children in Iceland), a support group in Iceland for children with rare diseases. The role of the organization is to advocate for the interests of the children and their families and provide them with assistance.
